Forced Labor:
There shall not be any use of force labor or prison labor.
Child Labor:
No person shall be employed under the age of 18 years old or where the law of the country of manufacture allows.
Harassment or Abuse:
No employee shall be subject to any physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse. Every employee shall be treated with respect and dignity.
Nondiscrimination:
No person shall be subject to any discrimination in employment including hiring, salary, benefits, on the basis of gender, race, religion, age, nationality, political opinion or ethnic origin.
Health and Safety:
Employers shall provide a safe and healthy working environment to prevent accidents and injuries as result of operation. Employees shall be trained on fire safety, drill and fire escape twice a year. Factories shall maintain fire extinguishers fully charged annually. Facilities such as eating area, drinking area and restroom are kept cleaned at all time.
Wages and Benefits:
Employers shall pay employees a fair wage for all floor workers required by local law or the prevailing industry wage, which meet the basic employee needs, and shall provide legally mandated benefits.
Hours of Work:
Except in extraordinary business circumstances, employees shall not be required to work more than 48 hours a week and 12 hours of overtime, or the limits on regular and overtime hours allowed by the law of the country of manufacture and be entitled to at least one day off in every seven-day period.
Overtime Compensation:
Employees shall be compensated for overtime hours at such premium rate as is legally required in the country of manufacture. |
